ABOUT ME
BARNABY JAMES
I am Barnaby James, your friendly local locksmith. I was born in Penryn and moved my family and business 'back home' from Scotland in 2026. While away in Scotland, I had a wide callout area and worked in places like ancient castles, country cottages, large hotels, high street restaurants and private homes under the business name BJ Services Perthshire and I had ALL 5 star Google reviews.
Why pick me?
Like I said above, I specialize in non-destructive methods of opening locks which can save the customer the hassle and cost of replacing the lock and having to get new keys cut etc. Drilling and cutting is a last resort.
I disagree with some of the unscrupulous practices that can happen in the locksmith industry of taking advantage of people in a vulnerable situation and forcing them to pay a very high fee or drilling a lock out unnecessarily thereby forcing the customer to buy an overpriced new lock on the spot. I always try to give an accurate estimate before I show up, so there are no surprises and you know what to expect.
Consumer experts say that you should find a locksmith you can trust and save their number before you ever need them, so you are not vulnerable to being scammed in a high stress situation such as being locked out. So if you need a locksmith who is genuinely local and trustworthy, look no further!

Barnaby came out promptly and picked the lock of our bedroom we'd managed to let shut behind us as an emergency locksmith even thought it was late in the evening. Lovely fella would massively recommed if you're around the Falmouth area!

Did the locks on both my girlfriend's & my staff accomodation room doors. Reasonably priced & friendly.

Fantastic service from Barnaby! My cat, Sparta, was stuck in a store room because the door accidentally closed on her and we didn't have the key, I phoned Barnaby and he was able to get Sparta out in less than 5 minutes... Very prompt, professional service and reasonably priced - highly recommend.
